Over Yonder's Last Day Celebration

We are heartbroken that we are closing and this isn’t what it should be, but…Let’s take a breath, we’re doing fine, so at the same time, we want to celebrate the most wonderful community, music, beers, and the last six years with all of you on our last day here. “Cry In Your Beer” Potluck starts at noon. Sign up sheet at the bar. If you can’t make it in before sign-up, please feel free to bring some yummy food to share. Then, for the last Over Yonder stage performance, we welcome back Boulder’s Chicken Coop Willaye, bringing Southern Appalachian-influenced music to Colorado. Let’s come together one last time here, way Over Yonder.

FATHER'S DAY feat. Derek Dames Ohl

“Derek Dames Ohl is like warm butter on hot bread with blustering conduct. As a modern-day herald, Derek keeps his roots close with a six-string on his back, ping-ponging across the United States, sharing songs at every bar or dive that dares. His sounds eclipse and perfect everything from Country, Blues, and Honky-Tonk. His pride lies in keeping the American roots music tradition alive, with punchy guitar playing that'll surely leave listeners stomping the floorboards. Derek has been compared to artists like John Prine and Guy Clark with his quirky one moment, and woeful the next, songwriting style.

Derek has performed all across this universe and beyond - playing venues and festivals alike. Some notable artists Derek has played along with, or opened for include, Willis Alan Ramsey, Arlo McKinley, Bill Nershi, Joshua Ray Walker, Emily Nenni, Melissa Carper, Kassi Valazza,  Larry Keel and many many more.” Free show.

Rae Isla

Rae Isla is an independent American singer-songwriter and musician from Bainbridge Island, WA, now based in Los Angeles. Drawing from her early years playing classical cello, learning piano and guitar as a teenager, and attending Berklee College of Music on a vocal scholarship, Rae weaves together a unique blend of folk, indie rock, and alt-country influences to create lush, evocative songs. Her 2021 debut album, Another Life, garnered critical acclaim with features in Rolling Stone and Billboard, and charted #27 on NACC radio. Her newly released sophomore album, New Frontier—featuring fan favorites like “Miles and Miles” and “Free to Love”—marks an evolution in her artistry as a songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and visual storyteller.

Rae’s voice has also reached new audiences through film and television. She performed the lead original song for Ezra, a feature film starring Robert DeNiro and Rose Byrne, and composed the theme for the upcoming docuseries SCENE: SILVER LAKE. Known as a “traveling bard,” Rae’s live performances are both intimate and immersive, sharing fantastical stories from the road and creating a communal experience that breaks down the barrier between artist and audience. A burgeoning American songwriter in her own right, Rae's ability to blend honest and intimate storytelling with cinematic arrangement will draw you in, and keep you there. Free show.
